James Scannell, based out of Tampa, Florida, is the newest artist to be signed to the North American electronic music label Abstract Logic Recordings. As a burgeoning producer, James already has three digital releases. His first, a remix of Mike Deville’s Alkaline Metal on Blunted Funk Recordings came out in late 2008. In August of 2009, Midnight Transit, a three-track EP, was also released worldwide, closely followed by a second EP, Darkbeat, all on Abstract Logic Recordings. James is equally passionate about rocking the dance floor with his dj sets. Always upbeat and energetic, James is able to keep crowds moving with his on-point track selections and innate ability to read and please a crowd in any venue. Each set is a meticulous blend of both melodies and beats, marked by heavy, sensual bass lines, while his respect for the innovators of techno is evidenced by his reputation for always mixing in classic techno tracks acquired through his decades of collecting music.
